In the accompanying press release, theAdministration stated that this initiative will deliver federal resources more effectivelyand efficiently to support voluntary community efforts to enhance and protect 10 riversor river segments to be designated. It emphasized that this initiative would not involveany new regulatory requirements or federal funding.
