It has an assessed budget, which means that each nationscontribution is set as a percent of the total ILO budget. In the ILO, governmentrepresentatives are joined by delegates representing a countrys worker and employerorganizations, who always, theoretically, speak and vote independently of theirgovernments. The ILO addresses workers rights, such as child labor and working conditions.It does this through the negotiation, adoption, and implementation of labor standards astreaties which are binding on the governments that ratify them. The ILO has begun toaddress the issue of labor standards in trade and to refocus member attention on the corehuman rights labor standards.
