Some observers eye this configuration of worker rights protectionsas amodelforfuturetradeagreements;othersviewitasaone-timeoccurrencejustifiedonly because Jordan has a strong tradition of labor protections; still others oppose theinclusion oflaborprovisions in tradeagreements underanycircumstances.
