The Bureau of DisasterServices is the lead emergency management agency for the state. After a disaster occurs,financial aid is given in the form of claims to the military division, tax relief, federalfunds and state emergency accounts. The legislature provides for succession to stateoffices in emergencies. State and local seats of government may be relocated in anemergency.
