Over the two months of sit-ins that followed, the movement raised questions about the limits of Hong Kongs autonomy from China, the ability of Hong Kongs Legislative Council (Legco) to pass reforms that could lead to a more democratic government in Hong Kong, the socio-economic policies of the administration of Chief Executive (CE) Leung Chun-ying (C.
