In June Medical Services v. Russo, a majority of the Court concluded that the law imposed an undue burden on a womans ability to obtain the procedure. Justice Breyer authored an opinion, joined by Justices Ginsburg, Sotomayor, and Kagan, that relied heavily on Whole Womans Health v. Hellerstedtthe Courts 2016 decision that invalidated Texass admitting privileges law.
