CHAIRMAN OF THE JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF INSTRUCTION J-3CJCSI 3214.01E DISTRIBUTION:A,B,C,S28 May 2015 DEFENSE SUPPORT FOR CHEMICAL,BIOLOGICAL,RADIOLOGICAL,AND NUCLEAR INCIDENTS ON FOREIGN TERRITORY References:See Enclosure C.1.Purpose.This instruction provides guidance for assistance provided by U.S.military resources in support of U.S.Government(USG)objectives to preparefor and respond to chemical,biological,radiological,and nuclear(CBRN)incidents that occur on or impact foreign territory.2.Superseded/Cancellation.Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction(CJCSI)3214.01D,31 December 2011,is hereby superseded.3.Applicabilitya.This instruction is applicable to the Office of the Secretary of Defense(OSD),Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff(CJCS),Joint Staff,Services,National Guard Bureau(NGB),Defense Agencies,and Combatant Commands.Specifically,this instruction applies to the following:(1)Department of Defense(DoD)operations in support of a Departmentof State(DoS)-led USG response to CBRN incidents that occur on foreign territory(Enclosure A).(2)DoD activities in support of USG efforts intended to improve aforeign governments capability to manage the consequences of CBRN incid
