The program awards grants for developingenvironmental curricula and tr
3、aining teachers, supports fellowships to encourage thepursuit of environmental professions, selects individuals for environmental awards, andsponsors workshops and conferences. While funding authorization expired in FY1996,Congress has continued to appropriate funding so far without enacting reautho
4、rizinglegislation. However, the Administration is proposing a major shift in policy for FY2003,which would transfer the functions of EPAs Environmental Education Program to theNational Science Foundation (NSF).
