2、 private, nonprofit, federally fundedcorporation that helps provide legal assistance to low-income people in civil matters.Although the authorization of appropriations for the LSC expired at the end of FY1980,the LSC has operated for the past 25 years under annual appropriations laws. 3、ncluded $330.8 million for FY2006 for the LSC and also included a 0.28%rescission of funding for the Commerce, Justice, State, Judiciary, and Related Agenciesappropriation (which includes the LSC). Moreover, P.L. 109-148 included a 1%government-wide rescission for discretionary programs, thereby low
