2、ilitary operations in the context of two proceedings:Russias confrontation with Georgia(2008)and the confrontation with Ukraine(since 2014).These proceedings may indicate the policy that Khan seeks to promote positioning the Court as a central and influential element in real-time confrontations;expa
3、nding its attention beyond Third World countries and the African continent;focusing on crimes committed in recent years;and positioning the Court as a protector of the world order.At the same time,the investigation of Russia could be a turning point in terms of world public opinion toward the Court
4、and increase its legitimacy.These trends can affect the investigation regarding Israel,both in terms of pressure on it to cooperate with the investigation,and in terms of legal precedents set in connection with the attacks by the Russian army.Israel must be aware of and monitor these trends.Since Ru
